By now you should have a pretty good idea what your perfect morning looks like. If not, here is a good place to start. Once you have your perfect forming in mind, chances are it doesn’t include some of the mundane daily tasks like doing the dishes or folding laundry. So how can you take your Perfect Morning off the page, and into reality?

Write It Down
Some people are visual learners, while others have to learn in the process of doing. I have to write it down and see it, in order for it to stick. That’s where this number one tip comes in – write it down! The best way to know what has to get done in your morning, and what is a priority, is to write it down. While tasks like showering and brushing your teeth should come as second nature, packing lunch or a snack may be something that often slips your mind or gets left to the wayside on your way out of the door. If you make your gameplan, and include this item on your list before picking up your keys to walk out of the door, you have a better chance of remembering it and incorporating it into your morning gameplan on a regular basis.

Leave Wiggle Room
Remember that nothing is set in stone when it comes to your morning routine. There may be days when you have to stop for gas or coffee before getting to your destination. Or better yet, days when your littles have overnight accidents that require you to throw a load of laundry in the washer before that first sip of coffee. Whatever it is, don’t beat yourself up if you’re afraid you won’t hit all of your goals in your morning gameplan. That’s the point of this exercise! To see what works and how it can work better to make your mornings the best they can be.
