Regrowing My Edges with Edge Naturale

Postpartum hair regrowth has been an uphill battle, and my edges tell the story. My hairline has been playing catch-up since my first pregnancy. During pregnancy, my hair grew long, thick and healthy. It wasn’t until I looked back at my wedding photos that I realized something was missing. My edges!

All dressed for the big day. Just one thing was missing.

Our romantic destination wedding was my first major event since giving birth. It was also the first time my hair had been styled by someone other than myself. I had been subconsciously covering up my missing edges for months on my own. But now there was no hiding it.

My hairline eventually grew back in, but then my second pregnancy came along… and you guessed it, more postpartum hair loss.

Just over a year postpartum, my edges are still not as full as they once were. That’s when I discovered Edge Naturale’s Follicle Enhancer – one product that promises to restore full healthy edges, naturally, quickly and easily.

The team at Edge Naturale gifted me a 2 oz jar of their Follicle Enhancer – the perfect size for a 30-day trial.

This is my honest review.

What is a follicle enhancer?

The follicle is the part of the skin where hair growth occurs. All hair grows out of a follicle. A follicle enhancer stimulates hair growth by improving blood flow to the scalp, helping to clear the scalp of dead skin cells and moisturizing the scalp.

I was pleasantly surprised by the fragrance. The scent of peppermint is strong, but not overpowering. Just one whiff of it had me anticipating the tingling feeling it would leave on my scalp.

According to the directions, for best results, the enhancer should be applied once or twice daily to the hairline. The scalp should also be clean and clear of oils.

At first glance, I was concerned that the thick and fluffy white texture of the Follicle Enhancer would not be a match for my hair. My hair is thick, and was recently dyed jet black. Application, however, was a breeze. The follicle enhancer worked well with my damp hair and I found that it absorbed easily into my hair without feeling greasy.

Natural Ingredients to Regrow Hairline

The list of ingredients includes some of my favorite hair oils – argan oil, avocado oil, niacin, castor oil, jojoba oil and coconut milk extract. This particular blend of oils promotes shiny, soft hair by nourishing at the root, while encouraging blood flow to the scalp. This product also contains mineral oil.

On days when I was too busy to style my hair, this product also doubled as edge control, helping to calm some of my stray hairs. The peppermint oil left my scalp tingling in between applications – gentle reassurance that the product was doing its work.

How to Grow Fuller Edges

I began using Edge Naturale with the aim to regrow my edges and fill in my postpartum gaps. Following the package instructions, I applied the cream twice a day in the morning and before bed, paying close attention to the areas of my hairline hardest hit my postpartum shedding and breakage. Before use, my edges were healthy, but thin. By day 30, I saw noticeably fuller, thicker edges. My hair is also soft and shiny, no doubt a result of the oil blend that my hair has been loving. I didn’t take before photos of my nape area, but I can feel the difference there also.

The Results

The packaging indicates that the best results come from frequent and long term use. It has only been 30 days but I am already pleased with the results. My edges look and feel healthier, as does my scalp. I tend to have dry, itchy scalp at times – another legacy of pregnancy. Edge Naturale helped to calm and soothe those spots with its fresh ingredients and tingling recipe.
